What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural constituent of hemp and cannabis plants. It is one of the most abundant compounds (cannabinoids) found in cannabis, and has numerous health benefits. Unlike THC, which is the compound responsible for creating the 'high' associated with cannabis, CBD is non-psychoactive.

What ingredients are in your CBD oil?

Our CBD oil has only one ingredient, hemp! Our extracts contain 100% organic cold pressed hemp seed oil and our proprietary full spectrum CBD concentrate. Hemp seed oil is the 'carrier' oil - all CBD products are suspended in a carrier oil, the most common of which are MCT, olive, avocado, grapeseed, etc - for best absoprtion CBD must be consumed with a fat. With our CBD product, your pet will only be ingesting natural compounds from the cannabis plant. There are no other additives, preservatives, emulsifiers, or flavorings.

What dosage should I give my pet?

• 10lb dog/cat: 1 drop once/day (3mg/day)
• 20lb dog: 1 drop twice/day (6mg/day)
• 50lb dog: 2 drops twice/day (12mg/day)
• 75lb dog: 3 drops twice/day (18mg/day)
• 100lb dog: 4 drops twice/day (24mg/day)

How do I give it to your dog or cat?

CBD oil is readily absorbed through the mucous membranes (i.e. gums) under your pet's lips, orally through the mouth, and even transdermally through the skin in the inside of the ear (great for cats!). Ideally give your pet's dose by lowering their lip and dropping on to the gums, or by placing drops on your finger, and rubbing on your pet's gums.

How do you know how much CBD is in your product?

Our CBD oil is lab-tested as soon as it is extracted and then again by a third party lab (Steep Hill) in Berkeley, California, to ensure an accurate amount of CBD. In addition, we test for over 200 pesticides, herbicides, mold, fungi, heavy metals, and mycotoxins. We use cutting-edge testing and world-class equipment to ensure that our products are safe and healthy. Please contact us for current lab test results.

Is your CBD a whole plant extract, synthetic, or an isolate?

We would never sacrifice quality by providing a synthetic CBD or CBD isolate blend. We use a whole plant extract that is rich in cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial oils. The Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem sought to compare the effectiveness of a completely purified CBD extract versus a full-spectrum extract of cannabis flowers containing large quantities of CBD. The conclusion of the study was that the whole plant extract, which contained a large percentage of CBD but also contained traces of the other cannabinoids, proved far more effective than CBD-only solutions in alleviating inflammation and pain sensation.

What other cannabinoids are in your CBD oil?

Our full-spectrum CBD oil contains high concentrations of CBD and also other beneficial cannabinoids such as CBC, CBG, CBDA, and CBDV. These beneficial cannabinoids are not psychoactive and are being studied scientifically for a wide variety of health benefits. Cannabinoids work synergistically together with what is known as the entourage effect.

When does the product expire?

Without refrigeration, the product will last for 12 months. Refrigeration is completely optional but will extend the shelf life of the product to 18 months.

Where do you source your hemp from?

Our CBD oil is extracted from organic hemp plants cultivated on licensed farms in Colorado, USA – all nourished with pristine Rocky Mountain water and lots of sunshine. It’s grown the way nature intended and harvested at peak perfection.

Is your product USDA certified?

The USDA has made the statement that they will not certify any hemp products grown in the United States at this time, so a certification is not possible. We partnered with an industry-leading third-party lab, Steep Hill, to ensure that our CBD oil is 100% organic. Please contact us for current lab test results.

Green Extraction Methods

How do you extract the CBD and other cannabinoids from the raw plant material?

We use green extraction methods that utilize CO2, which leaves behind no toxins, heavy metals, or chemicals to degrade the product in any way. CO2 is safe to use in food products.

What type of CO2 extraction do you use?

We use a combination of both Subcritical and Supercritical extractions. This allows us to perform a “fractional extraction” by first extracting at lower pressures to remove the lighter, temperature-sensitive volatile oils, and then subsequently extracting the same material at a higher pressure to remove the remaining oils. This approach is the best because it allows us to extract a complete range of cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils, and other beneficial phytochemicals that yield a more potent blend.

I live outside of the USA - can I order your CBD?

We ship our CBD product from our US warehouse in Nevada. If you live outside of the US and you place an order, we will not guarantee delivery - if your shipment is lost or is not legal in your country, we will not issue any refunds on lost or refused shipments. Please be sure to check with your local laws before ordering.
Although our company is located in Canada, we cannot stock or ship any CBD products in Canada.

Ordering outside of the US is completely at your own risk.

Returns / Refunds

Can I return my order for a refund?

We can accept returns of unopened bottles only. Please contact support for an RMA and directions on how to return your order.

What payment methods do you accept? Do you accept PayPal?

For ordering Dr. Jones' CBD products, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We do not accept PayPal or American Express for CBD orders.
